Complete 1990 Chevrolet 2500 Drivetrain and Scott II Axels on 37” KM2s. 350 Small Block, 700r4 Trans, NP241 T-case with SYE. Locked Front and Rear on 44s, 4:56 Gears. SBC 350 coupled with the ultra-low gearing of the 700r4 trans and 4:56 gears make low range incredibly low. Large 37” BFG Mud Terrain tires with the 700r4 overdrive makes for great highway driving. The Scout II axels are wider than CJ wide track and raked 14” (6” rear and 8” front) making this rig stable over any terrain. Great all-around wheeler that does 80mph on the highway and can out crawl some purpose-built crawlers. This is not a road queen and does not have AC. This is not a linked and coiled setup with king or fox shocks, but it will out crawl most of them. This was a lot of fun to design, build, and use. I have moved to diesel truck projects for off road and need to make room for a Mustang/Duramax build and a Suburban/Duramax build for the wife. Unfortunately, that means this must go…eventually. If you’ve ever bought or built a rock crawler, you know there is value in the details. You also know that you will never recover what you put in it. I based the price on being somewhere between. You can’t build this for what I’m asking. You may be able to find something like it cheaper but make sure you look closely before buying.
